Dancing Roads Tours is run by Paeng Ton, who leads and plans the routes taken, and Sonia Taheri, the general manager, who has been living in Cambodia since 1999. Dancing Roads Tours was established in the year 2000. At that time sealed roads were few and far between, so what better vehicle to negotiate those Dancing Roads than a dirtbike! While a few more roads are sealed these days, our aim remains the same: to give visitors a safe alternative means of travel around the country, to develop the best 'off the beaten track' routes, and to cater for all kinds of riders, from novices to road bikers to enduro experts. With local Khmer guides you will be able to interact with the locals while getting the 'Cambodian perspective' on the country's people, history and culture.
With Dancing Roads Tours you will experience the thrill of independent motorcycle travel without the worry of communication difficulties. You will have the safety net of an experienced local guide to bridge the language gap and show you a side of the country that you might otherwise miss. Above all, with a small group you'll feel more like you're on a ride with mates than on a formal, restrictive tour Dancing Roads comes from the Khmer phrase 'plough roam', used by locals to describe the rough condition of most rural routes. This may be bad news for those looking for luxury travel, but good news for those looking to head off road into areas off the typical tourist trail!. In Cambodia, there is no need for an official motocross track or enduro trail- just find a road, ride and enjoy! |
